Program Info

What: As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we are thrilled to announce a new opportunity for our 6th graders: the "Concord 6th Grade Ballroom Program" at the Scout House. This 6-week program is designed to offer your child a fun and engaging introduction to ballroom dancing.

Throughout the course, students will learn popular dances such as the Waltz, Foxtrot, and Bachata, and will participate in creating a lively choreography incorporating these moves. The program not only focuses on dance skills but also aims to boost social confidence and teach the importance of dancing with a partner.

We are excited to share that this program will be taught by the esteemed instructors from Magenta Dance Place, including Sergiy Georgiyev, the owner of Magenta Dance Place and a Professor of Dance at the Boston Conservatory with 20 years of teaching experience.

This cherished program has been a Concord tradition for many years, and many parents recall their own experiences from when they were in 6th grade. We’re thrilled to continue this rite of passage with the expertise of Magenta Dance Place.

Where: The Concord Scout House at 74 Walden Street.

Cancellations: Classes will be cancelled if schools are closed, and all efforts will be made to provide a class makeup.

Dress code: Casual closed shoes. Jacket or vest. Dress or skirt.
